Company Driver Class A OTR Long Haul
Summary/Objective:
The truck driver position performs a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans in support of the department.
Essential Functions:

- May plan route to insure most economical use of time and equipment.
- Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
- Find ways to conserve resources such as fuel.
- Conduct daily pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle and report any problems or damage to the fleet manager.
- Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
- Interact courteously with customers and respond to requests
- Assist management in resolving customer issues or suggestions.
- Serve as a representative of the company, projecting a positive image to the public.
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Maintains and submits DOT e-logs, and inspection paperwork.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud when in the field.

This is a full-time position
Travel:
Travel is out of the area and overnight travel is expected
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Clean driving record
- Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or Waiver

- No at fault accidents in last 3 years
- No moving violations in last 3 years
- No failed drug tests in past 6 years
